Calming Gummies

Are you supplementing with magnesium yet? If not, this just might change your life! 😉

I’ve mentioned in previous posts that I supplement with magnesium because it plays a huge role in the body and it’s often hard to get enough from food due to mineral depletion in the soil.

Magnesium depletion in our bodies is linked with insomnia, anxiety and panic attacks, constipation and IBS symptoms, headaches and migraines, fatigue, depression, increased PMS symptoms, muscle spasms, and cramps (just to name a few!)

Magnesium supplements can be really helpful if you suffer from any of the above and for myself personally, I’ve noticed that magnesium helps with my digestive issues and anxiety.

My favorite magnesium supplement is called Natural Calm, which I’ve mentioned here on the blog before. When you combine Natural Calm with water, it creates a sweet, bubbly drink that doesn’t contain added sugar (since it’s sweetened with stevia) and it’s the perfect base for this gummies! Natural Calm comes in a bunch of different flavors and I personally love their raspberry-lemon flavor the best.

So, let’s treat ourselves to these delicious and sugar-free calming gummies!

P.S. And if we need something stronger, there’s always red wine gummies and white wine gummies! 😉

A few recipe notes:

  • Gelatin: The key with gelatin is to look for a brand that comes from grass-fed, humanely raised animals. (I love Vital Proteins and use their gelatin in my all recipes.)
  • This recipe yields about 30 gummies, depending on the size of your molds. If you don’t have candy molds, you can also use a glass baking dish and then cut the gummies into squares.
  • The typical serving size of magnesium is 2 teaspoons, which equals about 7.5 of these gummies (assuming your batch yields 30). You can consume more or less depending on your dietary needs.
