Ladies (and gents),

I gotta ask you something… do you struggle with getting your significant other to eat healthfully and take their vitamins? I ask because this is a losing battle in our house on most days. 😉  Obviously, taking care of my health is one of my greatest passions, but this doesn’t always ring true for my partner. So, today I’m teaming up with iHerb to talk about ways to get healthier with your significant other and sharing a delicious gut-loving gummies recipe!

1. Be active together

I know that the words “exercise” and “working out” don’t get most people excited, but this is why it’s so important to find ways to naturally incorporate activity into your lifestyle! Plus, working out with your significant other is a great way to hold each other accountable!

For us, this means walking around the city on weekends, doing a quick strength-training workout with weights at home, taking a yoga class, or doing chores together. I’ve found that the key is to do something you both enjoy because then it doesn’t feel like work!

2. Take supplements together

I’m pretty good at remembering to take my vitamins and supplements, but someone (ahem, ahem) isn’t always the best at remembering. 😉 This is why I try to incorporate supplements into recipes and into our lifestyle overall.

One of my favorite ways to incorporate supplements is this easy electrolyte drink that I mix in a blender bottle after workouts. It’s a simple mix of 1 scoop of electrolyte powder (I used Vega brand) and 2 tablespoons of collagen (I use either Vital Proteins collagen peptides or Great Lakes brand. Be sure to look for a brand that’s grass-fed!) with 8 ounces of water. (You can also add other powders or supplements as needed.)

It mixes together easily in a blender bottle and is a great way to replenish electrolytes, plus, the collagen gives a great protein boost! (Ladies, if your man gets fatigued easily during workouts or doesn’t like traditional protein drinks, this DIY version is a great option!)

Speaking of supplements, I honestly can’t recommend iHerb enough. In case you’re not familiar, iHerb.com is one of the world’s largest online stores for natural products. They carry over 35,000 products and ship to over 160 countries!

I’ve been ordering supplements through iHerb since 2013 and love that they carry the brands I trust and have the best prices. Plus, iHerb is a Google Trusted Store and their Customer Service team provides support in 10 different languages! I’ve never had an issue with an order, but it’s always nice to see a company that takes customer service seriously. 🙂

iHerb offers free shipping on orders of $20 or more and I’m not kidding when I tell you that their shipping is fast! Since I’ve been in the middle of moving, I was a little nervous if the package would get here before we moved, but it arrived just a day and a half after I ordered it!

Check out what I got in my latest order:

iHerb also offers an awesome Give 5% and Get %5 Rewards Program where you earn 5% for all referrals (new and existing), plus your referral gets 5% off their purchase! It’s such a nice way to save money when shopping for supplements!

3. Make healthy recipes together

And, last but not least, one of my favorite ways to get healthier together is to make recipes together! Since my significant other isn’t a foodie, I’ve found that this works best when we make an easy recipe together (wink, wink) and what can be easier than making these gut-loving gummies?!

Since I used to be a food educator and worked with children, I have lots of experience with sneaking whole foods into recipes and these skills translate well when trying to sneak more supplements into your significant others’ diet. 😉

These gut-loving gummies use 3 of my favorite supplements:
